Who we are

LAND & CASTLE LTD is responsible for personal information received through enquiries about our business. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17225049. Our registered office is 239 Embankment Road, Plymouth, England, PL4 9JH. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, use our contact form.

Information we receive

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, contact details, correspondence and details of a land or property opportunity or the support you are looking for. Please only send information relevant to your enquiry and avoid sending sensitive personal information or identity documents in an initial email.

Our hosting and security providers also process technical information, such as IP addresses and request information, to deliver and protect the website. The contact form collects your name, email address, message, enquiry type and an optional site location. There is no account registration or newsletter signup.

How we use information

We use enquiry information to respond to you, consider an opportunity or support request and manage related discussions. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries and assessing suitable opportunities, balanced against your privacy rights. Where necessary to take steps towards a contract at your request, or fulfil a contract with you, we rely on that basis instead. We may also retain information where required by law.

We use technical information for our legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable website. We do not use this website for advertising tracking or automated decisions about you.

Who may receive information

Our service providers support website hosting and security (Sites and Cloudflare) and business email (Google Workspace). Contact form submissions are processed by FormSubmit to deliver your message to our inbox. FormSubmit states that it retains submissions for 30 days. See FormSubmit’s privacy information. Relevant enquiry information may be shared with professional advisers or planning specialists where needed to assess or progress an opportunity. We may also disclose information where legally required. We do not sell your personal information.

These technology services may involve processing outside the UK. Applicable provider terms and data protection safeguards govern that processing. You can contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry.

How long we keep it

For enquiries that do not progress, our policy is to delete the enquiry information within 12 months of the last substantive contact, unless there is a specific legal or dispute-related reason to keep it longer. If an opportunity progresses, we assess retention according to the agreement, relevant legal obligations and the need to retain business records. This does not set the retention period for technical logs maintained by hosting and security providers.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or transfer of information. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights are subject to legal conditions. Contact us using the form above; we normally respond within one month.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are concerned about how your information is handled. We welcome the opportunity to address your concern first.

Cookies on this website

The current site has no advertising or analytics scripts, embedded videos or social-media widgets. The hosting security service uses Cloudflare’s __cf_bm cookie to help distinguish legitimate visitors from automated traffic and protect the site. It expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. It is used for security rather than advertising.

We treat this security cookie as strictly necessary, so the current site does not display an optional-cookie consent banner. You can control cookies in your browser settings, although blocking security cookies may affect access. Submitting the form takes you to FormSubmit, which uses a Google reCAPTCHA spam check and may use its own cookies. Those services have their own privacy and cookie information; they are not loaded while you browse this site. If optional cookies are introduced, we will update this notice and provide consent controls where required.
